And Adapted to the New Practice in the States of Missouri, California, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, and Alabama; The Territories of Oregon and Minnesota, and the Island of Newfoundland, with Copious Notes and Authorities to Which are Added Forms in Submissions of Controversy Without Action; In Proceedings Against Joint Debtors, Etc.; And of Judgments by Confession. 541 pages with index. Full leather covers with red and black title bars and gilt lettering on spine. Cover corners are bumped and rubbed, edges rubbed, plenty of rubbing and scuffing to cover faces, some areas with tears to leather, black marks. Top spine end is torn and pulling away from book, bottom end is scuffed. Front hinge completely broken and is pulling away from rest of book exposing spine. Endpapers are separated from rest of book. Interior pages are browning and foxing, some pages with mold marks. Some evidence of bug damage to lower corners of interior pages and on back inside cover. Book in Good- condition.

Prepared by Daniel Durrie, Librarian and Assistant Isabel Durrie. "The present volume comprises the titles of books and pamphlets received since the first supplement, 1873- to August 1,1875 up to August 1, 1878. The whole number in the livrary is about eighty thousand." 750 pp. Embossed edging around borders with embossed state capital? in the center of the front/back cover. Bottom corner tips rubbed to boards. Faint gilt lettering on spine. mild residue? left from ex. mus. label with small rubbing through to boards(blue). Tiny pieces of blue showing at spine ends-minor. Overall covers are good. Griswold College library bookplate on front endpaper. Strip of paper tipped in on front free endpaper: "Presented by the State Historical Society of Wisconsin". Otherwise the interior is tight, clean and Very Good+. Isabel Durrie became the Historical Society's third employee in 1870, and with her father, Daniel Durrie, she completed a printed catalog of the library, one of the first such library tools.
