The Oxford's Map to the City of Denver, given to train passengers as they arrive into Denver's Union Depot (now Union Station). "Perched a mile above sea level and protected by the towering Rockies, Denver has the ideal climate of the world, dry, equable and invigorating - a climate that puts an edge on wearied appetites and lulls worn nerves with the sleep of childhood!" Large advertisement of the historic Oxford Hotel, the Welcome Arch and Union Depot in downtown Denver, as well as a street map and information about Denver and one-day railway trips from Denver. Street map identifies important buildings and locations of streetcars and carriages. Map folds into small pamphlet. Ink numbers written on lower corner of Oxford Hotel advertisement. Large tear (seven inches) along crease of map that affects both text and map.

12 accordion-folded pages with 34 sepia-tone views of Manitou, CO, the surrounding vicinity with lithographs of rock sculpures and the Pike's Peak Railway. Lithographs are pristine, crisp and clean. Decorative boards show wear to edges and spine missing small pieces. Back cover hinge broken. No date (1892?). On first lithograph: "Gesetzlich geschutzi in Deutschland."
