Covers intact but due to condition are Good-. Previous owner's name on front free endpaper. Hinge broken on blank pages before title page and beginning at back covers' endpages. Sporadic watermarks on pages, mainly on the upper margin corners of pages, occasionally down sides, but rarely in text. Otherwise text is tight and Very Good.

Two book set with illustrations. Green decorative covers with gilt floral design and writing on front and spine. Volume I: 405 pp. Volume II: 334 pp. Volume III: 417 pp. Both books have cover corners that are bumped and rubbed, and edges are rubbed. Book I has a small hole on bottom front edge. Book II has some staining (water?) to bottom front edge. Books spine tips are bent and fraying, some rubbing to cloth on bottom spine. Gilt top page edges. Interior page edges are chipped from being uncut, and some interior pages have small tears from being opened and read. Interiors are tight and clean. Books in VG- condition. A handsome set.
