But the mansion deserves much more than the slight glimpse that the passer-by can get of it." 206 pp. with index. Blue cloth covers with gilt title on spine. Missing DJ. Cover corners are rubbed, front lower corner has significant damage and is missing with tears to cloth, light scuffing to covers, spine ends are bent and worn. Cocked spine. Gift inscription by author on front free endpaper, and signed by author on title page. Interior pages clean. Book in Good- to Good condition.

Covers are very worn and in Fair condition with corners and edges are bumped and rubbed to boards, front joint broken and front cover barely attached to rest of book, water stains and areas of discoloration/damage to cover faces. Spine is discolored from sun exposure, spine ends are bent with tears and fraying. Water stains to interior page edges, interior is browning. Final map has been torn from book, tears to creases and is very fragile. Book in Fair to Good- condition. Scarce.

Interior is tight and Very Good. Listed in Famous Americans, "He served in the 1st Presbyterian church of Morristown, New Jersey, from 1794 till 1797, when he became its pastor, and in 1809 was charged with the Presbyterian church of Newark, New Jersey. In 1823 he became professor of theology in Auburn theological seminary, which chair he held until his death, he was a trustee of Princeton college and seminary, and received the degree of A.M. from Yale in 1794, and that of D. D. in 1815.
