"This Catalogue is a supplement to a series of papers on the Conchology of Rhode Island, read from time to time during the past two years before the Providence Franklin Society, and published in the Central Falls 'Weekly Visitor.;" 8 pp. Light green paper covers with string-tied binding. Covers are very soiled and dirty with mold/ink spots and foxing, corners and edges are rubbed and creased, some chipping to edges. Significant crease down middle of document that runs throughout. Interior page edges are creased and dirty, text is easily legible. Document in Fair to Good- condition.

Famous Americans within the document include Elihu Root, Secretary of War; Major D. W. Lockwood, Corp of Engineers; Brig. Gen. John M. Wilson, Corp of Engineers; and Col. G. L. Gillespie, Corp of Engineers. Disbound government document. Letter and maps are separated from each other. Tears along creases on maps. Browning to edges of documents. Overall letter and maps in Good condition.

REPORT: In the Senate, The Committee on the Judiciary, to whom was referred a resolution for the expulsion of James F. Simmons, a senator of the United States from the State of Rhode Island . 37th Congress, 2d Session, Senate. Rep. Com. No. 69. States the details and circumstances behind a government contract for rifles which Senator Simmons helped obtain and later received a commission. "Mr. Simmons who has appeared before the committee and with great frankness and fairness detailed all the circumstances of the transaction, and answered all questions put to him promptly and without hesitation, also stated that he is now, and was at the time, unconscious of having done anything wrong in acting as he did..." 4 pp. Disbound. Some darkening on back page along top and side edge, otherwise document is Very Good.
