Read before the National Academy, April 18, 1878. pp. 77-126. The opening paragraph reads " In reviewing the life and works of Jeffries Wyman, we shall consider his contributions to comparative anatomy and physiology, and to palaeontology, as well as to ethnology and archaelogy. " Jeffries Wyman (1814-1874) was a Professor of American Archaeology and Ethnology at Harvard. He was also the Director of the Peabody Museum. Paper covers faded around edges. Bottom corner, 1/2"x2" missing. 2 other missing pieces at side: 1" and 1/2". ex.mus. numbers. Back bottom corner missing, 1/2'x1 1/2". Covers are intact and overall Good. Interior is clean, tight and VG+.

Pompeckj, of the University of Tubingen, in a publication that wll not be of wide distribution in America.
