Otherwise covers are Very Good. Previous owner's name on front free endpaper, otherwise interior is tight, clean and VG+. Dust Jacket worn.Spine joints with tears, with one side barely attached, missing pieces along edges. Overall DJ is Fair to Poor. Howes A45. Andy Adams (1859-1935) was an American writer of western fiction.

Portions of this book appeared as short sketches in Woman's Home Companion, The American Mercury and the author here makes due acknowledgment of the graciously given permission to reprint. 346 pp. Brown pebbled cloth covers with gilt title on front cover, blue text block title on spine. Cover corners and edges are bumped and rubbed, scuffing and wear to cover faces, joints worn, marks to spine, spine ends are bent and fraying. Black top page edge. Uncut page edges with some tears and chipping. Hinges are broken, interior spine is loose. Previous owner's name was written on front free endpaper and appears to have been erased, but is still visable. Some mild foxing to interior pages. Book in Good condition.

Another full page with Geographical Description and the sketch map of Sonora. All figures (illustrations) are facisimiles in H.F. Bruning's Collection. Table of the "State of the Population of the Missions of Sonora". Heavy tan wraps with black lettering. Spotted tanning and discoloration around edges of covers; dirt smudges; slight rubbing at spine's top corner, other corners creased and bent. Frontis. illustration has faint foxing? or discoloration from front cover on both sides, primarily on back and not near illustration. Otherwise interior is tight, clean. Pamphlet in Good+ to VG- condition.
