During his lifetime, Rev. Perry held numerous church offices, including President of Hobart College. He has published more books probably than any living clergyman in the Episcopal church. Dr. Henry Disler, who is considered the first dean of Columbia College, was firmly against slavery and wrote this refutation of Episcopal Bishop John Henry Hopkins' book "The Bible View of Slavery." 20 pp. Water stain on top corner of document, and paper wrap has small tear along edge. Some minor foxing, but it does not interfere with text. Document in Very Good condition.
