Run from December 1901 through December 1963.. Remarkable unbroken run of 123 six-month bound volumes of one of America's premier literary journals. All ex-library, with modest markings .All volumes are in original bindings, in condition ranging from Fair to Fine externally, Good to Fine internally.. Vols.104-132 include some vols. which lack spines or pieces of spines. The latest 47 years, from 1916 to 1963 (Vol.133 to 227), are uniformly bound in matching black library buckram with gilt lettering, all Very Good Plus to Fine. Buyer to select shipping method, and to pay actual cost of shipping. Will require an estimated 20 shipping boxes.

November Issue. Volume 37, Number 222. Some articles written or about FAMOUS AMERICANS: J. ROSS BROWNE:Explorations in Lower California (Second Paper) pp.740-752 with illustrations; Fish-Culture in America, pp.721-739 with illustrations- one of SETH GREEN; The Handel Festival at the Crystal Place, 1868, pp.753-759 with illustrations-one of CHRISTINE NILSSON; and Democracy of the Chinese by REV. WILLIAM SPEER, pp.839-848. Soiling to front cover. Ink "blottish" from spill? on lower spine on to front lower cover, widest area 1/2". One inch tear, side edge chipped. "Duplicate" stamped.Cover is Good- to Fair. pp.721-744 one or both side corner edges creased/folded. Last 2 pages side top corner also creased/folded. Otherwise interior is tight and clean and Very Good. Many engravings.

Pages 721-864. Many color and b/w advertisments at beginning and conclusion of magazine. Paper covers with green front and advertisements on back. Covers are worn with significant creasing and tears on front, edges and corners are chipped and worn, covers are quite dirty and soiled, spine is creased, tears to spine ends. Interior pages have chipping to edges, browning and some soiling. Magazine in Fair to Good- condition.
