1867 Paperbound Good+ Map Size: Approx. 11 1/ 2" x 13 1/4" S. Augustus Mitchell Jr. 
Colored map of Minnesota , just after the Civil War ended. Counties in pale pastel colors. Shows the State Capitol, County Towns, Common Towns, Rail Roads, Proposed R.R. and Common Roads. Entire map with decorative border in black and white measures approximately 11 1/ 2" x 13 1/4". Just above "border", says "Drawn and Engraved by W.H. Gamble". Margins of the page age-toned, but does not affect border or the map.Map is clean. A very attractive map for 140 years old. Frameable.

Full leather covers with red and black title bars and gilt lettering on spine. Cover corners are bumped and rubbed, edges rubbed, plenty of rubbing and scuffing to cover faces, some areas with tears to leather, black marks. Top spine end is torn and pulling away from book, bottom end is scuffed. Front hinge completely broken and is pulling away from rest of book exposing spine. Endpapers are separated from rest of book. Interior pages are browning and foxing, some pages with mold marks. Some evidence of bug damage to lower corners of interior pages and on back inside cover. Book in Good- condition.
