All ex-library, with modest markings .All volumes are in original bindings, in condition ranging from Fair to Fine externally, Good to Fine internally.. Vols.104-132 include some vols. which lack spines or pieces of spines. The latest 47 years, from 1916 to 1963 (Vol.133 to 227), are uniformly bound in matching black library buckram with gilt lettering, all Very Good Plus to Fine. Frontispiece of Benjamin Franklin and Eli Whitney. Volume I, 344 pp., Printed 1833; Volume II, 332 pp., Printed 1834; Appendix, 84 pp. Marbled boards with leather reinforced corners and joints. Cover boards completely separated from book. Missing spine. Cover corners, edges, faces and spine are scuffed and worn. Marbled endpapers. Ex. library with bookplate on front inside cover, stamp on free endpaper. Front pages are starting to separate from bottom at spine edge. Interior is browning and foxing throughout. Waviness to interior pages, some corners are dog-earred. Book in Fair condition. Scarce copy of early scientific magazines.

Covers intact but due to condition are Good-. Previous owner's name on front free endpaper. Hinge broken on blank pages before title page and beginning at back covers' endpages. Sporadic watermarks on pages, mainly on the upper margin corners of pages, occasionally down sides, but rarely in text. Otherwise text is tight and Very Good.

Gold gilt lettering on spine. Marbled page edges. Front hinge slightly broken. Page edges are browning, but does not interfere with text. Overall the book is in Good + condition.

Rubbing to corners and edges with boards slighly exposed, some dirt smudges to back cover, fading to gilt lettering on spine. Red speckled page edges. Black tape covers both hinges. Pages separated between pg. 16-17. Page 679-80 is nearly removed from book and had some chipping along edges from wear. Some browning to pages, edges and endpapers. Book in Good to VG- condition.
