Harriman Alaska Expedition with Cooperation of Washington Academy of Sciences. Volume I: Narrative, Glaciers, Natives. Profusely illustrated with maps, b/w and color plates, illustrations, photographs, drawings. 183 pp. Green cloth covers with gilt imprint of seal on front cover and gilt lettering on spine. Green thick cloth DJ (ex. library cover?) with gilt lettering and ex. library numbers on spine. DJ is worn and fraying along edges and corners, cracks to interior creases, white marks, scuffing. Cover corners are bent and rubbed to boards, edges are bumped and rubbed, rubbed joints, spine ends are bent and fraying. Gilt top page edge. Page edges are uncut and chipped. Ex. library with bookplate adhered to front inside cover, library stamps on back of every plate, embossed stamp and identification numbers on first page of contents, torn due date list on back free endpaper, and pocket envelope on back inside cover. Broken hinges. Back hinge is completely separated and pulls open exposing interior of spine. Fold-out color map is torn in half at first crease. Plates are protected with tissueguards. Interior spine broken throughout. Pages are browning along edges, otherwise clean. Some pages have small tears and creasing to edges, but text is easily legible. Book in Fair to Good- condition.

Olive cloth covers with gilt signature on front and gilt title on spine. Cover covers are bumped and rubbed, particularly the lower front corner. Spine tips are bent and rubbed. Gilt top page edge. Many interior pages are uncut. Some light foxing to page edges and endpapers, but text is not affected. Interior is tight and clean. Book in VG condition.
