"In February, 1903, a magnetograph was installed in a room in Fort Isabel Segunda, on Vieques Island, Porto Rico, and variation observations were continued there until April, 1907. At that time suitable buildings had been constructed for the observatory work, and the magnetograph was transferred to the new site, about five-eighths of a mile ( 1 kilometer) west of the old fort." The work of the Porto Rico Observatory was in charge of the following magnetic observers: F. Neumann and Harold W. Pease. 102 pp. 15 foldout graphs with reproductions of magnetograms showing the principal magnetic storms. Numerous tables.Tan paper wraps. Mildly soiled. faded spine and mild fading to cover borders. ex-mus.stamp on front cover. Overall covers are Good+ to Very Good -. ex.mus. stamp and numbers on title page, otherwise interior is tight, clean and Very Good+.
