Harmony, for losses sustained in the seizure of his property for the public service, by order of Colonel Doniphan, during the march of the United States forces of Chihuahua, in the year 1846, reported on at the last session." Includes letter of Colonel Doniphan, showing that the seizure of said property was by his order, and that the object of the seizure was the protection and advantage of the army; Authentic copy of the proceedings of the government of Chihauhua, in the seizure and confiscation of said goods as property of the United States; Translation of the above; Deposition of Captain John W. Views of a Minority of the Committee. "The Committee on the Judiciary, to whom were referred the petitions of Eliphas Spencer and Jacob Mussina, for the impeachment of John C. Watrous, United States district judge for the district of Texas, have had the same under consideration, and the undersigned have resolved to report favorably to the prayer of the petitioners." 30 pp. Salmon paper wraps that is string-tied. Wraps show signs of wear with dirt smudges, marks, bent corners and chipped edges. Document has some light foxing, but otherwise is clean and bright. VG condition.

Front page lower corner torn and removed, page edges are chipped, last page bottom corner also torn. Some pages are starting to separate from spine, but document remains intact. Document heavily foxed and browning, but text is still legible. Overall in Good+ condition.

Worthington Chauncey Ford (1868-1941) was an American historian. Wolcott Leclear Beard (1867-1937) was an Engineer, adventurer and author. Famous illustrators include: Frederic Remington (1861-1909) was an American painter, illustrator, sculptor, and writer who specialized in depictions of the American West. Arthur Burdett Frost (1851-1928) was an early American illustrator, graphic artist, painter and comics writer. "When John F. Kennedy was inaugurated on January 20, 1961, a heavy snow blanketed Washington, D. C. As a result, a number of copies of the Official Inauguration Book were left unsold. These books have been augmented by three special pictorial sections -- one on the inaugural ceremonies (including the memorable inaugural address); another on the death and state funeral of President Kennedy; and a third on the first 30 days in office of President Lyndon B. Johnson." This is Copy No. 351D of the Memorial Edition of the John F. Kennedy Inaugural Book, signed by E. H. Foley, General Chairman of the Inaugural Committee. Blue boards with embossed title and Presidential Seal on front cover, along with previous owner's name (Mr. Joseph E. Regan) embossed on lower front cover. Cover corners are bumped and rubbing to face. Main section of interior pages is pulling away from the spine, but still attached. Interior pages are browning with some minor stains, but text and images are not affected. Overall book in Good condition.
